The Sæplast 460 PE ECO container is a more sustainable version of the well-established 460 model, developed to support the future of responsible material handling. Designed with a strong focus on sustainability, the container incorporates recycled material within its insulated core, reducing environmental impact without compromising performance.
By integrating recycled plastic from end-of-life containers into new production, Sæplast actively supports a circular economy. This approach reduces waste, lowers reliance on virgin raw materials and extends the lifecycle of existing resources. The result is a container that delivers the same reliability and strength expected from Sæplast, while contributing to a more sustainable future.
The ECO container is manufactured using rotational moulding powered by renewable energy, replacing traditional oil-based production methods. This transition significantly reduces the carbon footprint of each unit and sets a new standard for sustainable manufacturing within the industry.
With a weight of 42 kg, the container is lighter than previous versions, improving handling both at sea and in processing facilities. The optimized design also allows for approximately 5% increased capacity, enabling more efficient use during daily operations. Reduced weight contributes to lower transport emissions over the container’s 12–15 year lifespan.
The Sæplast 460 PE ECO container retains the proven design of the original model, including stable stacking, smooth internal surfaces for easy cleaning and reliable performance in demanding environments.
The new ECO tub retains the strength and durability of its predecessor while being crafted from 100% recyclable PE material. Once these tubs reach the end of their lifecycle, they will be recycled into new tubs, reinforcing our commitment to environmental stewardship.

The container can be stacked, both including and excluding content.
Laterally restrained stack should not exceed a stack of 4 containers.

Silk Screen Printing
Silk screen printing is a one-colour deep print marking molded into the tub so it is extremely durable and permanent. We at Saeplast add the customer name, logo, or their marking on each tub, making the container easily identifiable. Silk screen markings are available in single colour format and colours available are black, blue, red or white.
Engraved Markings
Engraved markings ensure individual container identification. Engraved markings are long-lasting and are etched into the outside skin of the container. Many customers choose to have serial numbers, company name, factory location or other information engraved onto their Saeplast tubs.
Mould-in graphics
Mould-in graphics are a visual way to identify customer property by using their company logo or by applying a specially required graphic. The technology can also be used for marketing purposes or to strengthen branding. Mould-in technology can also be used to present user guidelines or other messages that need to be presented for specific use of the product.
