Julio graduated in Aquaculture from Centro de Estudios de Mar y Acuacultura, CEMA, Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala. He has 44 years of professional experience focusing on being a pioneer of shrimp Aquaculture in Centro America.

His expertise includes shrimp and fish (tilapia) cold chain custody and revoltionizing cold chain revolution in Ecuador with SAEPLAST insulated containers.

Julio has developed the Hybrid technology to transport live shrimp using mechanical harvester up to 2-kilometer distance all the way to the darkening station upfront packing plant.

As an industry expert, Julio has been a feature speaker at many conferences in the Aquaculture Industry including SIMCAA in Honduras, the Simposio Centoamericano de Acuicultura in Panamá, and AQUAEXPO in Guayaquil, Ecuador.

Fluent in Spanish and English, Julio can communicate well in Portuguese, Italian and French as well.
