Petfood Forum 2027
A dedicated meeting place for the pet food industry
Petfood Forum 2027 will bring pet food manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, equipment providers, researchers and industry specialists together in Kansas City from 26 to 28 April. Unlike broader food-industry exhibitions, Petfood Forum is entirely dedicated to pet food production, processing, nutrition, packaging and market development.
The event combines a specialist exhibition with technical presentations, workshops and networking opportunities. Its international reach continues to grow, with the 2026 edition attracting 3,600 attendees and 381 exhibitors from 43 countries.
Better ingredient handling starts inside the plant
Modern pet food facilities process a wide range of raw materials, proteins, liquids, powders, supplements and by-products. These materials must be received, separated, stored and moved between production stages without creating unnecessary hygiene risks or operational delays.
Sæplast develops reusable handling solutions for the pet food industry. The product range is designed for demanding production environments where strength, cleanability and reliable daily handling are essential.
Different pet food formats create different production requirements. Dry, wet, fresh, raw and freeze-dried products may each require specific approaches to ingredient separation, temperature control and internal transport. Selecting the right container capacity, construction and handling configuration can help create a more controlled production process.
Built for strength and hygienic cleaning
Sæplast tubs and containers combine robust polyethylene construction with smooth, seamless surfaces that are quick to clean and easy to sanitise. Rounded internal corners help reduce areas where ingredients or product residue can collect.
The containers are built to withstand repeated filling, emptying, lifting, stacking and washing. This durability can reduce replacement frequency and help pet food manufacturers avoid disruptions caused by damaged or unreliable equipment.
Colour-coded containers can support visual management within the facility. Different colours may be assigned to specific ingredients, recipes, departments or hygiene zones, helping employees identify materials and maintain separation procedures.
Practical movement throughout production
For smaller batches and mobile handling, Sæplast food-processing buggies provide a lightweight and hygienic way to move ingredients and products between workstations. Their smooth movement and quiet operation can make everyday handling easier for production teams.
Sæplast plastic pallets support organised storage and material movement in production and warehouse areas. Unlike wooden alternatives, plastic pallets do not absorb moisture or introduce splinters and loose nails into controlled food-manufacturing environments.
Together, tubs, buggies, pallets, lids and accessories can form a consistent handling system across receiving, preparation, processing, storage and dispatch.
Meet Sæplast at Petfood Forum 2027
Petfood Forum provides an opportunity to discuss practical handling challenges with the Sæplast team. Visitors can review container options based on ingredient type, batch size, cleaning requirements, handling equipment and available production space.
