Seafood Expo America 2027
North America’s seafood marketplace returns to Boston
Seafood Expo North America will bring the international seafood industry together in Boston from 7 to 9 March 2027. The exhibition connects seafood producers and suppliers with buyers from retail, restaurants, catering, foodservice, distribution and processing throughout the United States and the wider North American market.
Held alongside Seafood Processing North America, the event also presents equipment and services for seafood processing, packaging, refrigeration, storage, logistics, food safety and quality control. Together, the two exhibitions provide a broad view of the products, technologies and operational solutions used across the seafood value chain.
Protecting seafood quality through better handling
The condition of seafood can change quickly after harvest. Temperature variation, excessive pressure, contamination and repeated handling can all reduce product quality and commercial value before the seafood reaches the processor or customer.
Sæplast has worked with the fish and seafood industry for more than four decades, developing reusable material-handling products for vessels, aquaculture operations, landing facilities, processing plants, cold stores and distribution networks.
The company’s insulated fish tubs and containers are designed to protect seafood during handling, chilling, storage and transport. Effective insulation supports more stable product temperatures and can reduce ice melt, while robust construction helps the containers withstand repeated lifting, stacking and movement in demanding environments.
Built for strength, hygiene and daily use
Seafood-processing equipment must perform reliably in cold, wet and physically demanding conditions. Sæplast containers combine exceptional strength with smooth, seamless surfaces that are quick to clean and easy to sanitise.
Rounded internal corners support effective cleaning by reducing areas where seafood residue can collect. Durable construction helps the tubs retain their shape and performance through repeated use, while practical forklift and pallet-jack access supports safer movement around vessels, plants and storage areas.
Sæplast also provides plastic pallets and food-processing buggies for internal material movement. Together, these products can help seafood businesses create more consistent handling systems across receiving, preparation, processing, storage and dispatch.
More value throughout the container lifecycle
The value of a reusable container should be measured across its complete working life. Frequent replacement creates additional purchasing costs, operational disruption and unnecessary waste. Sæplast products are built for long-term use, and damaged containers can often be restored through professional repair.
For businesses managing containers across vessels, facilities or logistics partners, tracking solutions such as RFID tags, barcodes and QR codes can improve asset identification and fleet visibility. Better control can help reduce losses and ensure that the required equipment is available when and where it is needed.
These capabilities are particularly relevant to North American seafood businesses managing seasonal fisheries, long transport distances and equipment distributed across multiple locations.
